Cookie policy

This Cookie policy explains how Nordlys Consultancy Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. We do not use tracking cookies, we do not advertise to you, and we do not share your browsing data with third parties.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Do we use cookies?

We do not set any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies on this website. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, session-recording tools or any similar third-party tracking technology.

Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not need to ask you for cookie consent, and you will not see a cookie banner on this site.

How we measure website traffic

We still need to know roughly how many people visit our site and which pages are useful to them. We do this using a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. Your data is not sent to any third-party analytics provider.

Our analytics tool:

  • sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device
  • does not collect or store any personally identifiable information;
  • does not track you across other websites, and cannot build a profile of you
  • does not store your full IP address, which is used only transiently to derive an approximate country and is then discarded
  • records only aggregate, anonymised information such as page URL, referring site, approximate location (country level) and general device, browser, and screen-size categories.

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you as an individual.

Essential cookies

If we ever need to set a cookie that is strictly necessary to deliver the website, for example to keep a form submission secure, it will be used only for that purpose and will not be used to track you. Cookies of this kind cannot be refused without affecting how the site functions.

How can I control cookies and tracking?

Since we do not use tracking cookies, there is nothing here for you to opt out of. If you would still prefer that your visit is not counted in our aggregate traffic figures, you can enable the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser, use an ad or script blocker, or block the analytics script directly. None of these will affect your ability to use the site.

You can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies generally. As the means of doing so vary from browser to browser, please visit your browser’s help menu for more information.

Changes to this policy

If we introduce new cookies or change how we measure website traffic, we will update this page and revise the date shown above.

Where can I get further information?
